What to Expect When You Book a Business Photoshoot with Me

Booking a business photoshoot is an investment - not just in beautiful images, but in capturing your story with intention, creativity, and care. If you’re wondering what the process looks like, or how I stand apart from other Photographers, let me walk you through it all. Here's the low down of what to expect when you book a shoot with me.

How I work differently

From your very first enquiry, I’ll treat you as a collaborator rather than just a client. Lots of my clients are life long friends, or my one stop shot for supporting all year round! My approach is all about getting to know you and understanding your brand and vision so the photos are bespoke to your branding, whilst incorporating my style alongside it.

You’ll receive a photo questionnaire and planning guide that helps me learn about your photoshoot goals, your brand aesthetic, and what you’d love the images to reflect before booking your shoot in my calendar.

We may also hop on a short call or have a coffee to talk it through together and ensure we’re on the same page. To bring it all together, we’ll create a mood board that captures the style, and ideas you’re drawn to. This makes sure your business photoshoot feels like you - not something cookie-cutter and like everyone else. Because your photos need to be relevant to your business.

Keeping it stress free & simple

I believe in keeping things simple and stress-free for you. So once you’ve filled in your questionnaire, you can leave it to me if you've sent over your shot list (ask if you don't know what this is). When the shoot day arrives, I like to keep things calm and collaborative. We’ll meet, have a chat and settle in, test the light, and familiarise ourselves with the location. I find it takes 15 minutes for the stress of the shoot minimise and those more natural, comfortable photos to come through, when on one of my Lifestyle shoots.

I’ll guide you throughout your business photoshoot, offering prompts and direction so you never feel awkward or unsure - and making you laugh every once in I while (with my best jokes!). The atmosphere is relaxed, with time for breaks and adjustments if needed.

My aim is to capture natural moments and candid moments whilst still giving you plenty of variation to choose from. I capture photos with a marketing focus, so you have content sorted for the next 2-3 months. At the end of the shoot, we’ll have a quick debrief so you know exactly what happens next, including when to expect your gallery and how it works. Super simple!

Once the shoot is complete, I go through every image, carefully culling and selecting the strongest photos to send you. My editing style is clean, light, and natural. Rather than dramatically transforming the image, I enhance what’s already there, staying true to the authenticity of the moment.

Rather than overwhelming you with hundreds of average shots, I intentionally curate a refined selection that feels meaningful, usable, and aligned with your brand. You’ll receive your gallery in a format that works for both web and print, giving you everything you need for your brand or personal use. Sustainability also underpins my work - I run a 90% plastic-free studio, minimise waste wherever possible, and for every photoshoot I complete, I plant a tree through my partnership with One Tree Planted.
